Hong Ra On se disfraza de hombre desde pequeña y bajo el nombre de Hong Sam Nom aconseja a los hombres en las citas. Debido a una carta de amor que escribió para un cliente, y al acudir a una cita en su lugar, se encuentra con el príncipe heredero Lee Yeong. Hong Ra On no se da cuenta de quién es en realidad y él no se percata de que Hong Ra On es una mujer, generándose un mal entendido. Lee Yeong sufre una trampa a manos de Ra On y le guarda rencor por ello. Más tarde, a consecuencia de las deudas, Hong Ra On es vendida para convertirse en Eunuco del palacio. Ya estando allí, ella intenta huir pero se encuentra con el Príncipe heredero; éste hará todo lo posible para evitar que Sam Nom (Ra On) deje el palacio y siga a su servicio por todo lo que le hizo. Pero se va interesando en "él" poco a poco sin saber aún su verdadera identidad, dando lugar a un amor prohibido que lo confunde y abruma.
