Signal: El pasado y el presente se fusionan a través de un potente walkie-talkie. Park Hae Young (Lee Je Hoon) es un teniente de policía experto en perfiles criminales. Hae Young entró a trabajar como policía a pesar de de desconfiar profundamente de ellos luego de un evento traumático en su niñez. Cuando él era niño, su amiga Yoon Jung fue secuestrada y posteriormente la encontraron muerta. Hae Young miró a una mujer recoger a Yoon Jung en la escuela el día en que ella desapareció, pero los policías no le creyeron y determinaron que un hombre se la había llevado. El caso sigue sin ser resuelto hasta el día de hoy. Ahora, Hae Young trabaja en la misma estación de policía donde él trató de que los investigadores le creyeran cuando era niño, entonces un día sale de la estación y escucha que alguien le habla, mira a su alrededor y encuentra un walkie-talkie donde se escucha la voz del detective Lee Jae Han (Cho Jin Woong) que lo llama. Pero Jae Han pertenece a varias décadas atrás y está investigando la muerte de Yoon Jung, la amiga de Young. Cha Soo Hyun (Kim Hye Soo) era un novato en la época de Jae Han y ahora es un experimentado detective. ¿Podrá este inesperado trío trabajar conjuntamente para solucionar antiguos casos sin resolver comunicándose a través del walkie-talkie?
