O pai de Shikada Kokonotsu tem uma loja de doces no interior e seu plano é que Kokonotsu assuma seu lugar um dia. No entanto, Kokonotsu quer ser um mangaká. Um dia no verão, a linda e estranha Shidare Hotaru, de uma famosa fábrica de doces, vem visitá-los. Aparentemente, o pai de Kokonotsu é famoso e ela quer contratá-lo.
