El curioso trío comparte piso en Boston y tienen en común su interés en intentar pasar desapercibidos como veinteañeros corrientes. Ellos son Aidan Waite (Sam Witwer, 'Smallville') vampiro desde la Guerra de la Independencia que en la actualidad trabaja como enfermero en el hospital Suffolk County; Josh Levison (Sam Huntington, 'Veronica Mars'), un hombre lobo judío que hace las funciones de celador en el mismo hospital; y, por último, Sally Malik (Meaghan Rath, 'El último suspiro') una chica fantasma que habita en la casa que Aidan y Josh han alquilado y que, en vida, estuvo prometida con el casero de estos antes de morir.
