Doc Martin, un destacado médico de Londres, decide cambiar de vida y se muda a Cornish, un pacífico pueblo costero. A pesar de su brillantez, tiene dificultades para relacionarse y su particular estilo no tarda en provocar el enojo de sus nuevos pacientes.
