Georgina es una mujer del medio oeste que se casó con Constantine Clio, un hombre multimillonario. Georgina comienza a vivir un cuento de hadas que, lamentablemente, no dura. Después de un año de matrimonio, su vida se hace pedazos cuando Constantine fallece en una misteriosa explosión a bordo del yate de un traficante de armas ruso. Georgina se propone descubrir que fue lo que pasó, porque piensa que hay algo más en la muerte de su marido. Es así cómo entra en un juego peligroso lleno de mentiras, dobles sentidos y crímenes al que deberá adaptarse rápidamente para poder sobrevivir y proteger tanto a su familia como su fortuna.
