Os eventos de Loonatics Desencadeados ocorrem no ano de 2772, o ano em que um meteoro atinge a cidade-planeta de Acmetropolis, derrubando-o completamente fora de seu eixo original. Em vez de destruir o planeta, o meteoro cai em uma orla, liberando ondas de energias sobrenaturais fazendo com que alguns dos códigos genéticos dos cidadãos do planeta sejam severamente alterados, concedendo-lhes habilidades e forças especiais. Uma mulher misteriosa e poderosa chamada Zadavia convoca seis adolescentes dos moradores afetados a formar uma equipe de super-heróis.
