Zoe Hart é uma médica nova-iorquina recém-formada que acha que já tem seu futuro todo planejado. Depois de se formar em primeiro lugar na faculdade de medicina, ela pretende seguir os passos do pai e se tornar uma cirurgiã cardíaca.
