Com pouca supervisão dos adultos e muitas festas, um grupo de adolescentes de Bristol, na Inglaterra, tenta descobrir sobre a vida e relacionamentos. A cada duas temporadas, a série vai acompanhar um grupo de amigos diferentes, sendo que cada um deles compõe uma "geração". Na temporada 7, personagens das gerações anteriores retornam para explorar como serão suas vidas enquanto adultos.
