O desenho mostrava a infância dos personagens que divertiram a tantos ao longo dos anos. Ao lado de Margaret Loesch, Jim trabalhou na produção do desenho Muppet Babies, realizado por sua empresa Jim Henson Productions em parceria com a Marvel Productions Ltd. e conseguiram vender a ideia para a CBS Television, onde estreou no dia 15 de setembro.
