No início do século XX, um grupo de aventureiros toma parte em uma expedição que visa provar a existência de um mundo isolado da vida moderna. Desastres acontecem e o grupo termina preso nessa terra, contando unicamente com a ajuda de uma jovem mulher selvagem que também terminou presa na ilha quando criança. Juntos, eles lutam para sobreviver aos ataques dos dinossauros e a outros perigos que a ilha traz, conforme procuram por um jeito de escapar.
